Matt Henderson is an Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon. He went to Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa. He moved to New Zealand and trained as a General Surgeon with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. After finishing General Surgery training, he became an Australia and New Zealand Gastro-Oesophageal Surgery Association (ANZGOSA) Fellow completing two years of subspecialty training focussing on surgery of the stomach and oesophagus including complex laparoscopic cancer surgery.
His training included all forms of bariatric operations, including robotic gastric bypass surgery, hiatus hernia repair and reflux surgery.
Matt has been working as a Specialist for the past 8 years performing weight-loss and reflux surgery at St John of God Murdoch and Subiaco.
